I’m someone who values growth, balance, and connection. I consider myself both outgoing and introspective—I enjoy sharing ideas and learning from others while also appreciating time to reflect. Originally from Australia, I’ve lived in the U.S. for over 15 years, and that journey has shaped a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective on life. I love experiencing new things, whether through travel, food, or the arts, and I feel lucky to live in New York City, where there’s always something inspiring to explore. I work hard but also make space for fun and relaxation, whether it's cooking new recipes, scuba diving with turtles and sharks, or hitting the slopes with my skis. Becoming a parent is something I’m truly excited about, and I look forward to sharing my interests with a child - encouraging curiosity, and being a steady, creative presence in their life.

I’m passionate, hard-working, a little quirky, and always ready with a good joke. I take my commitments seriously, especially when it comes to my work and the people I love. I’m a die-hard baseball fan, a lifelong reader, and someone who finds joy in the little things—whether it's a podcast on a morning walk, a new exhibit at a museum, or catching up with friends. I also enjoy staying active through the gym and pilates, and I love to travel and explore new places. I’m excited to bring a child into this full, joyful life—to share books and laughter, nurture their curiosity, and discover the world together. Being a parent has always been something I’ve dreamed of, and I’m ready to show up with love, patience, and a sense of adventure every single day.

Our Parenting Style

Our parenting style is grounded in authenticity, communication, and connection. We believe in being open and honest with children in a way that’s developmentally appropriate, and we approach parenting with a balance of structure and play. As educators and lifelong learners, we understand the value of planning ahead, meeting a child where they are, and supporting them through all of life’s ups and downs. We prioritize a hands-on environment filled with creativity, family dinners, and shared responsibilities. Discipline in our home centers on open dialogue, natural consequences, and helping children name their feelings and solve problems. We don’t believe in corporal punishment and instead focus on building trust, resilience, and emotional safety. With a strong support system around us and a playful spirit at our core, we’re ready to provide a loving, grounded, and joyful home.

Our Story

Our Home

Our home is a cozy, light-filled three-bedroom apartment in the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn—a vibrant, family-oriented neighborhood with a strong sense of community. Our space reflects our personalities: eclectic, modern, and welcoming, with lots of plants, personal touches, and natural light. The apartment is in a well-maintained building surrounded by residential homes and close to everything a growing child might need—great schools, parks, places of worship, restaurants, and quick access to emergency services. We love the diversity of our neighborhood and the sense of connection it offers, and we’re excited to raise a child in a home filled with warmth, creativity, and community.

Our Pets

Max is our sweet, friendly black cat with a little white patch on his chest and a big personality. We adopted him from a friend who was fostering him when he was two, and he quickly became an important part of our family. Max is incredibly affectionate—he loves to cuddle and is always close by, especially when it's mealtime! He's also quite the chatterbox, making sure we know exactly when he’s ready for attention or a snack. Max brings warmth, comfort, and a lot of joy to our home, and we know he’ll be a gentle and loving companion to a child.

Our Family

Family is at the heart of our lives. Kaye grew up in Philadelphia in a close-knit home with her parents, Jean and Frank, and her older brother, Todd. Their days were filled with family dinners, board games, park visits, museum trips, and Phillies games—a love that still runs strong! Reading together was a cherished nightly tradition that Kaye is excited to pass on as a mom. Her family has grown to include her sister-in-law Diedra and nephew Oliver, and they continue those traditions today. Rudolph has a wonderful relationship with his sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew, and his extended family in Italy brings rich cultural traditions and joyful gatherings to their lives. Together, we adore spending time with our niece Evelyn and nephews Oliver and Xavier—whether it’s park picnics, zoo trips, or holiday celebrations, we truly treasure those moments. Our families are loving, supportive, and so excited to welcome and embrace a new child into our lives.
