Our Letter To You

First, thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We can only imagine the weight and courage it takes to consider an adoption plan while carrying so much of your own story. We want you to know we see your strength, and we approach this with deep respect for you.

We’re Jess and Cam. We’ve been together for 20 years and married for 14. Jess is an engineer, and Cam owns a financial services business. We both grew up in big, loving families, and creating that same kind of steady, joy-filled home for our children has always been central to who we are.

We have two children, one of whom is medically fragile due to an inherited genetic condition. Parenting him has shaped us in profound ways — stretching our patience, deepening our faith, and teaching us how fiercely and intentionally we can love. After learning more about the genetic risks in our family, we felt God gently guiding us toward growing our family through adoption. While the road has not been simple, we feel steady in the belief that this is the path meant for us.

If you choose us, your child will grow up in a home that is faith-filled, consistent, and full of laughter. They will travel on fun adventures, play sports, enjoy the arts, and much more. They will be surrounded by siblings, cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles who show up for everything. They will know they are deeply wanted and intentionally loved.

Just as importantly, they will know where they came from. We believe a child’s first family is not a chapter to close, but an essential part of their story. We will always speak of you with kindness, gratitude, and respect. Your child will grow up knowing that their life began with bravery and love. We will honor whatever level of openness feels healthy and right for you.

We are praying for peace and clarity for you as you consider what is best for your baby. We admire the care and thought you are putting into this decision, and we would be honored to walk this journey with you.

With warmth and respect,
Jessica & Cam

Our Parenting Style

We believe in setting clear expectations and boundaries for our children, while also leading with love, patience, and understanding. We want our home to feel safe, predictable, and supportive. We guide our children with consistent rules, but we also listen to their feelings, explain our decisions, and help them learn from mistakes rather than fear punishment. We value open communication, respect, and helping our children grow into confident, kind, and responsible people.

As mentioned in our letter, parenting our son has shaped us in profound ways — stretching our patience, deepening our faith, and teaching us how fiercely and intentionally we can love. It has also shown us the beauty of watching a sibling of a special needs child grow up with a worldview that is grounded in empathy, patience, and inclusion.

Our Story

Our Home

Our home is a warm, welcoming walkout ranch with an open floor plan that helps everyone feel connected. It was built in 2019 and currently has 2,200 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The layout is bright and comfortable, with shared spaces where we spend a lot of time together as a family. We love to gather around the fireplace in the wintertime or enjoy the summer warmth on our screened-in porch. There is plenty of space to play in the backyard.

We are in the process of finishing our basement, which will add about 2,000 square feet, including two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. This added space will give our children plenty of room to grow, play, and have privacy when they need it, while still keeping the cozy, close feel that we love about our home.

We love taking walks in our neighborhood together. It feels welcoming, safe, and full of life, and we’re grateful to be part of a community where neighbors know each other and children have plenty of space to explore and grow.

Our Nursery

While we have everything we need for baby's arrival, the nursery is under construction while we finish our basement and move our oldest daughter's room downstairs. The baby will spend the first few months in a bassinet in our bedroom until he or she can move to the bedroom on the main floor.

Our Pets

Our one-year-old mini Aussiedoodle, Honey, brings so much joy to our home. She is incredibly soft, cuddly, and doesn't shed. She has a playful spirit and is very loving and loyal. She loves being with her people and is happiest when she’s nearby, no matter the activity. She is great with kids, happy to run around and play or just snuggle on the couch.

Our Family

Our family is built on trust, love and open communication. We (Cam and Jess) have been together for 20 years, navigating the ups and downs of life by leaning on each other and our faith.

Our daughter, Sadie, is 10. She is a born leader, smart, thoughtful, inquisitive, and kind. She is a big helper and rule follower. She can hardly contain her excitement to be a big sister again.

Our son, Brooks, is 7. He is funny, easy-going, and determined. His health challenges don't seem to bother him. He loves his little cousins and will be so proud to be a big brother.

Extended family is a very important part of our lives. We both grew up in busy, loving homes where family was at the center of everything. Between us, we have ten nieces and nephews, and our lives are full of family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments together.

Our families were instrumental in shaping who we are, and we feel grateful to be able to offer that same strong sense of connection and support to our children. They will grow up surrounded by cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who are excited to love and support them every step of the way.
