I am a junior high math teacher who has a deep love for family, faith, and making a positive difference in the lives of others. I grew up in a northern suburb of Chicago with my parents, and younger sister and brother, I learned early on the importance of family support, kindness, and resilience. In 2016, I moved to southeast Missouri to attend college, where I met my husband, Jared, and fell in love with the area I now call home. Teaching has become my passion, and I value the impact I have on young lives. I enjoy helping my students grow in confidence and character. Faith is at the center of my life, it guidings my values and decisions. On weekends, I teach crafting classes at a locally owned studio called Board & Brush. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, swimming, and traveling.

My name is Jared Ernst. When I was in 5th grade, my family chose to adopt my little sister. At first I though the idea was weird, as most of my friends had siblings from their own parents, but as soon as I met my sister, she was MY sister, adopted or not. That has always instilled in my a want to adopt when I grew up. I am a 2nd grade teacher who loves to pour into my students and help them be successful. When I am not teaching, I am usually coaching. I coach volleyball at my school and in our community.

Our Letter To You

Dear Birthparents,

First, we want to thank you for considering us to be part of your journey.
We can only imagine how difficult this decision must be, and we want you to know that we respect and admire the strength and love it takes to make it. We have been happily married for over two years and have always dreamed of building our family through adoption. This has been on our hearts for as long as we can remember, and your courage in choosing adoption is answering our deepest prayers. You are giving us the most incredible gift—the opportunity to become the parents we have always wanted to be.

Please know that we have been praying for you and your baby and will continue to do so throughout this process. We are committed to creating a loving, stable, and joyful home where your child will be cherished every single day. It is our promise to honor this precious gift and to ensure that your child knows just how deeply they are loved—not only by us but by you as well.

As we walk through this journey together, we find comfort in the words of Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” We believe God’s plan has brought us together, and we are so grateful for the hope and love that connects us. Thank you again for considering us to share this journey with you. We will continue to pray for you, your baby, and the path ahead. May God bless you abundantly.

With love and gratitude,

Jared and Nicole

Our Story

Our Home

Nestled in the heart of the historic district in our town, our house immediately felt like the perfect place to begin our married life together. Its charm and character set it apart from all the other homes around it, making it truly one of a kind. What makes our home even more special is its location—it’s on the same street as the college where we met and share so many memories! Every time we pass by, it’s a sweet reminder of where our story began. Just across the street is a large park where we actually had our first date. It’s perfect for picnics, walks, or watching a baseball game. Our neighborhood is close to downtown which means we can easily walk to
grab ice cream and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Mississippi River. From the moment we moved in, we fell in love with the details that
make our home special. We have a fenced in backyard with big rocks we can picture our future children playing on.

Our Pets

In February 2023 we adopted a sweet cat named Basil, who has brought so much joy, laughter, and snuggles into our home. We adore her and couldn’t imagine life without her playful antics and loving purrs.
